Roller HOCKEY, PLAYOFFS SPECIFIC RULES.
Rules on this page are specific add ons for playoffs.
All Standard league rules still apply.
ROSTERS - ELIGIBLE PLAYERS :
The only players who are eligible to participate in a playoffs game are those who remain as rostered players on the website. Those players should also have a little check mark next to their name on the stats page, to indicate that they have met the required number of games to participate. If a player on your team is no longer on the website / roster. Please do not bring this player for the game.
ROSTERS- PLAYOFF ID CHECKS :
ALL players who wish to participate in any playoff game must report to the scorekeeper prior to going onto the rink.
All players must present a valid piece of photo ID to the score keeper.
This process is the check in part of the game.
- Facebook pages and Instagram pages etc. are not allowed as a form of ID.
- Drivers Licence or passport or BC ID. are valid ID sources.
( if you can't bring such ID to the rink, take a picture of the ID with your phone and store it on there )
If you are not able to provide ID to the score keeper you will not be able to participate in the game.
We will not accept anyone vouching for any player as confirmation.
Do not show up at the rink and pretend that you don't understand how this works.
ROSTERS - CHEATING PLAYERS / TEAMS.
Any team who is caught cheating an illegal player into a game will forfeit the entire playoffs series.
There is no need to cheat to try and win. Please do not bring out guys who are not on your roster.
If the opposing team wishes to call out a player for being "illegal". This must be done in the first period of the game.
The player will be asked to produce a valid ID. If the player is not able to produce the ID The game will be called a forfeit.
If the player is able to produce a proper ID the team who called for the check will receive a delay of game penalty. This rule is in place to avoid teams from wasting time for no reason.
ROSTERS - GOALIES / SPARE GOALIES.
Teams rosters will be reduced to one or two main goalies.
Goalies who show as being the primary goalies from the season will be left as the teams goalie for playoffs.
If you need a spare goalie for a game, the process is as follows.
1. The spare goalie must have participated in at least one game in the season for another team.
2. The goalie can ONLY be from your division or a division lower. ( No goalies will be allowed to play down )
3. You MUST get written permission from the league before your goalie can play.
A text message or an email will be required to present to the score keeper, to show that you have communicated with the league to bring out said goalie for that one game. If you need the same goalie for a future game you MUST ask again.
GAME PLAY - OVERTIME
If a game is tied at the end of regulation time. We will play overtime.
Overtime will be played 3on 3.
Teams will remain in their own end.
24:00min will be up on the clock.
First team to score wins.
No time out's in overtime regardless if you used it in the game or not.
